Want to take that extra step and start teaching Instructor level programs? The IDC Staff instructor course enables you to do that. This course runs alongside the PADI IDC. You will learn to assist a PADI Course Director in grading IDC Candidates in Knowledge Development Presentations, Open Water and Confined Water Presentations as well as presenting IDC topics to the candidates. As an IDC Staff Instructor you will be able to teach PADI Assistant Instructor Courses, assist PADI Course Directors in conducting the PADI Instructor Development Course and instructor-level continuing education. As an IDCS you can help shape PADI Professionals.
The first part of your IDC Staff instructor course consists of a pre-assessment, where you will be reviewing your skills both in the water and in the classroom. These include IDC presentations where minimum scores must be met. Following that, you will then audit and IDC alongside the PADI Course Director, taking part in the whole IDC process, but from the side of the staff. If this is not an option, then it is possible to present segments of the Assistant instructor course instead. On completion of your course, you will then submit an application to PADI and then you will be authorized to teach on instructor development courses.
Must be a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer to enroll in this course.
