Well I have survived this far, day 7. It’s kinda exciting to finally be doing the IDC program, we’ve always talked about becoming Scuba diving instructors, and that day is almost here!
The first 2 days were a bit overwhelming, but when you are learning something new and get to wear the “instructor hat” it’s kinda fun. It takes a couple of tries to get the feel of things, how they work, and what you should do, and in what order. Once you have mastery of that, things get keep getting easier and easier.
This IDC group only has 4 of us, and with that everyone has different strengths and ideas, which is nice to see how everyone else has been doing things, also what does and doesn’t work.
Finishing up the EFR instructor days, then a few more pool sessions for skill assessment and to practice more rescue and CESA. It’s almost over, we are almost on the finally approach to the IE.
