Day one of the IDC has come and gone, and it wasn’t even that bad! There are six of us for now with one joining us next week for just the OWSI portion of the training. We started the day with introductions and it was so inspirational to have 6 people from all over the world in one room to learn how to successfully share their passion for scuba diving with others.
After our introductions we jumped into a general overview of the IDC and the IE as well as learned more about PADI and the resources and support they offer. We got our assignments for our presentations for the next two weeks, and then ended the day in the pool doing our skill circuits.
Today was a great start that really calmed the nerves and got everyone excited for the rest of the course. Now time to prepare my confined water skills presentation for tomorrow; let’s get ready to get neutrally buoyant with oral inflation!
