As an avid food lover I was disappointed that I wasn’t in the states to celebrate Thanksgiving however I had an amazing time with my new friends in Costa Rica. Georgia took the the Dmts for two deep dives, one at South point and the other at Punta Quepos. We ended up going 115ft under the surface which was my deepest dive yet! I also saw the biggest lobsters I have ever seen. After the dives while going back to the marina we were greeted by a pod of dolphins playing in the wake of the boat!

After we cleaned all the gear and filled tanks we all rushed home to start cooking our non-traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone contributed a dish and some beers. We started off with a ceviche made from a grouper that the boat captain caught and some killer deviled eggs. For the main course we had lobster with pineapple (caught by the boat captain and myself), meatloaf, and mashed potatoes. For dessert we had a peanut butter ice cream pie with oreo crust. It was to die for!

Although I missed my family and friends from the states I had a great Thanksgiving in Costa Rica.
