Yesterday we did two dives in the morning with two great guys that were working on their advanced certification after having so much fun with their open water certifications at Oceans Unlimited. Storms stirred up the bottom so viz was less than ideal, but all around the dives were fun as always. What better way to do search and recovery than in low viz?!
After a week and a half I think we finally have the hang of filling tanks. We banged out the tanks in enough time to get a tico snack and relax before heading to the main beach at Manuel Antonio for one of the most gorgeous sunset I’ve ever seen. I’m an Atlantic coast girl, so the sun setting over water was a new thing for me, and I was NOT disappointed. I literally pinched myself to confirm that the amazing friends beside me and my beautiful surroundings were reality. Floating in the ocean and playing in the waves while watching the sun set over the dive site of Captain’s Rock was the perfect way to end my day!
I came to Costa Rica to do my divemaster training as well as my IDC, but in less than two weeks I’ve already gained invaluable experience, both in life and related to diving. In addition to the experience I’ve also made memories that I will never forget. I’ve met amazing people and can’t wait for the next adventures that I will encounter over the next two months here. Pura vida!
