Going Pro Instructor.

I attended the February 2012 Instructor Development Course (IDC) at the Oceans Unlimited Dive Center, I have a long history of receiving awesome training from this PADI 5 Star IDC Center.  They are one of the most professional originations I have had the privilege to train at.  This would include all of my training I received over a 26 year military career.

This professionalism is emulated from the Owner Mr. McDaniel through the Shop Manager / Course Director Miss King to all of their staff.  They always have time for questions if one is unclear about a topic that is on the Instructors Exam (IE), and both go beyond what is minimally require to the pass the IE.

Miss Georgia King prepares her Instructor candidates before they arrive at the IDC.  What I mean by that is she starts preparing IDC Candidates while they are in the Divemaster Course.  She sets them up for success by insisting the DM Candidates learn to perform their Skill Sets to the standards that will be required at the next level, the Instructor Level.  She explains in depth all required theory.  When the IDC is over and she has her students so prepared that they return from the Instructor’s Exam with above average scores and saying that the IE stands for ‘It’s Easy”.   Georgia ensures that you do enough pool sessions which will build your skills and warrant high marks on your exam.

I recommend the Oceans Unlimited IDC if you are thinking about going PRO especially if you are going from Divemaster to Instructor.
