IDC Costa Rica

So you want to become a Scuba Dive instructor? Here at Go Pro Costa Rica, we schedule our PADI IDC programs every couple of months, over a period of 9 days. Just like the Pura Vida lifestyle in Costa Rica we organize the course in order for it to be much more relaxed and to give us more time to focus on your individual counseling and development. Our facility is open from 7am each morning where our professional staff will always be available for any additional counseling if needed.

IMG 0803 Version 2 300x199 IDC Costa RicaThe PADI Instructor Development Course or PADI IDC is made up of 2 components, the AI (assistant Instructor) and the OWSI (Open Water Scuba Instructor).
The Assistant Instructor portion is the 1st component of the PADI Instructor Development Course and essentially teaches you “how to teach” as well as building upon your Divemaster training .  The Assistant Instructor course is a 4 day program that involves academic teaching as well as sessions in confined & open water training.   The Assistant Instructor course can be conducted as part of the PADI IDC or as a stand-alone program.

The 2nd portion of the IDC is the OWSI (Open Water Scuba Instructor) program. and takes 6 days . The OWSI builds on the candidate’s abilities to prepare academic, confined water and open water teaching presentations, that were already taught during the Assistant Instructor portion. You will also learn about business principles, risk management and many other important aspects of becoming a PADI Dive instructor. In addition, at Go Pro Costa Rica we look at helping you in your future career opportunities , by assisting you with resume preparation and offer additional workshops for help with your many techniques in the “real world” of a scuba professional, including retail and counseling techniques
